Ashley HomeStore’s core promise — style without the luxury price tag — only works if the copy believes it too. As the freelance copywriter on this seasonal catalog, I made a deliberate creative choice to write with conviction rather than hedge.
Hedging undercuts the message. Good content strategy means knowing what a brand stands for and making sure every word reinforces it. Seasonal relevance was the context; that promise was always the point. You shouldn’t have to choose between looking good and spending smart — and the copy never suggested otherwise.
