Hi, I'm Kelly Sambucci, a freelance creative marketing strategist and copywriter living and working in the Tampa Bay area.

I started my career a little obsessed with words — specifically, the kind that can turn a complicated idea into something clear, engaging, and impossible to ignore. Copywriting taught me that the right sentence isn't just functional, it's almost a magic trick.

That obsession grew into 20+ years of marketing, content strategy, and communications work — mostly in financial services, where making complex topics feel human isn't just nice to have, it's kind of the whole job. I've built campaigns, shaped brand voices, and written social media copywriting, catalog copy, and editorial content that people actually wanted to read. (In financial services, that last part is harder than it sounds.)

These days I work in internal communications and employee engagement for one of the world's largest banks, translating big strategic priorities into the kind of brand storytelling that doesn't make people's eyes glaze over at slide three.

At my core, I'm a creative marketer who believes the best ideas live where strategy, storytelling, and genuine curiosity collide.

I live in the middle of nowhere with the love of my life, one dog, and three very opinionated cats. They've never once read anything I've written, which honestly keeps me humble.
